About Du Quoin High School Bands

Under the direction of Luke Shaffer since 2020, the Du Quoin High School Band has become a high-energy, highly rewarding, regionally competitive arts program committed to providing students a comprehensive music education through performance. Students experience daily rehearsals, varied ensemble membership, study of diverse literature, and performances in the school, community, and beyond. We provide several opportunities for performance, including Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Color Guard and Winter Guard, and extra-curricular music ensembles like Jazz Band, Pep Band, and Chamber Music.
